My first experience with these lists was not pretty. I talked to the teacher, and eventually the principle, and said "Look, my kid will come to school with pencil and paper. If he needs anything else I'm quite certain my tax dollars will pay for it." Of course that didn't work. So then I went ahead and bought all this stuff, but I insisted that most of it stayed at the house and was only taken to school as needed. They agreed. And by the end of the year all the other kids had lost most of their stuff, or it was stolen, but my kids had over half of theirs left. Used it the next year.

No sound in any of my internet browsers (Firefox, Explorer)...?

So I recently bought a printer at Walmart, and when I installed it, I believed it ruined the sound on my computer. Before I had installed the printer, sound was working fine. However, after installing the printer, I completely heard no sound, so I went to the Dell website (since I own a Dell desktop running on Windows XP). Afterwards, I deleted the IDT driver and reinstalled the original sigmatel driver on my computer and it worked. I now hear sound on my windows media player, Itunes, etc... But, I can't seem to hear anything in my internet browser, though (Mozilla Firefox 4.0). I tried checking to see if I heard any sound on Internet Explorer, and can't hear anything on there either. Can someone guide me in the right direction and tell me what to do in order to get sound in my internet browser? By the way, I have updated Adobe Flash Player and Java. In addition, I've tried downloading a K-lite mega codec, and had no luck either...

other than the operating system, the computer seems really good (vista sucks). I've never heard of a logical processor (logical? are computer's learning how to become human? ahhhh). Since there's two of each, i guess it's a quad core, and it looks to be intel. Not much of an intel fan myself, but quad core is good. Not much information on the sound card. Other than that, you have a great computer. Remember, what makes a computer great is not the hardware that it uses, but the software that runs it. I would upgrade to windows 7, or if you are computer savvy, switch to Ubuntu Linux

You are VERY skinny. I would gain wait if I were you. Preferably muscle weight and a little fat weight. I am 5'3 124 lbs (I am kind of muscular and athletic), and I am considered healthy weight. Underweight for me would be 103. Since you are taller, you need to weigh more. You should go CRAZY on vegetables and protein to help gain muscle. And, considering how skinny you are, I would start going on power walks to build muscle before moving on to the harder and more difficult stuff. Also, NEVER let anyone tell you that you are fat. The media these days pressures so many girls to be like walking sticks. Just remember: EVERY SINGLE PICTURE THAT IS ON A MAGAZINE OR ANYTHING PROFESSIONAL HAS BEEN EDITED. Shortness of breath is a common pregnancy thing. At about 16 weeks until about 27 I had terrible shortness of breath to where It felt like my chest was caving in. So I've taken ballet for 10 years, and toe (pointe) for 2 (maybe 3 i cant remember). I'm 5'8" and 135 lbs. I'm in 8th grade. I want to do hurdles. I had my last period on the 15 of May 2011. My periods are usually seven days long in duration. I had unprotected sex the weekend of the fourth of June with my husband. From a previous pregnancy I was told that this does not count as a legit period. I am so sick of that stereotype! Words cannot even beigin to fathom my empathy for it!!! I am a Hispanic male, 14. We've been living in the U.S. For 7 years now. My father is an orthodontist, he makes $365,000 a year. My mother is a homemaker. Currently, I am enrolled in a private school, I am in all AP classes with a 4.0 GPA. I'm not too big on sports, but that might change since I want something to look good on a college application (I am in tons of clubs, though). Even though I have lived here a short 7 years, I would consider myself almost a master of the English Language. I have been riveted by all that it has to offer and how the eloquence of one's words can clearly place their education and social position. I spend my free time immersing myself in literature. I can speak fluent English, French, and Spanish and am learning Latin. I love the works of authors like Shakespeare (he is my idol) and love to play chess, read, write, paint, and play the violin. i have been writing novels since I was 6 (the early ones were obviously in Spanish, I learned to write fairly good English after living here for a year) and am working on getting one published. To me, this seems proof enough that Hispanics can be smart and successful. My paternal grandfather is a CEO, making over 3 million a year. My maternal grandfather is a wealthy dentist in Colombia. My mother, while unemployed to care of the home, is certified to be a dentist and has her degree. I don't understand why so many people continue to think of us as wild, rocous people who are uncivilized brutes, because we are not. Computer won't play sound from anything other than iTunes?

You can start the computer in safe mode and remove the driver, then boot normally and download the driver and install it again. Sometimes you have to do this about 300 times with the intel audio, as it never works right. I got a soundblaster card for my desktop that had the same intel audio because it never worked.

Is Tony Little's Gazelle Pointless?

I am not overweight but in no mean am I in shape. I got a Gazelle since it was smaller and cheap but there is absolutely no resistance when I use it and I barely even break a sweat even when I am using it at really fast pace. It's just that im 16 and kind of confused. Most of the people I know( whose ages are from 14-17) are taller than their parents. I on the other hand am still shorter than my father who is 5'10 and of the same height of my mother who is 5'5. My father told me he was of the same height as me when he was my age, only when he was about 17 and experienced rigorous training in the service did he had an extreme growth spurt. Ive only grown about 2-3 inches since i was 13. not really a major spurt huh?. would my time table in growth be the same as my father's? would i also out grow my parents when i reach my peak? my paternal grandpa was 5'11 and my maternal grandpa was about 5'6, most of my cousin's also reached that almost 6 feet height. On-board Speaker Problem?

My speakers on my laptop have not been working for 5+ months now, but when I plug headphones in the headphone jack, I can hear sound, so I know it's not a soundcard problem. But if I leave music playing for about 1-1 1/2 hours I can get the sound back, so my speakers aren't blown. Not sure about the metabolism rate, but it sounds like your results are just about right for a 16 year old. Those are pretty much the same readings I had during high school ( I was 5'6" at 16), and from my BMI, I was always on the line between healthy and underweight. If you were 20, you'd definitely be considered underweight, but I'd say you're healthy for your age and height.
