Maybe he was putting out fires. You guys aren't in a serious relationship, so you shouldn't be getting so upset with him about not contacting you when you want him to. If you feel like he's not interested, then back off and focus on school. If you want to see him again, do it, but you can't be overly possessive of people or it will never work out.
