rule 1 never offend a person asking a serious question that makes you a bad person. for reason 1 it was a normal reaction if you were homeschooled and not used to celebraing with a class so dont worry about it you should have told them that you were not used to this type of event and you did the right thing by going to make your parents happy. reason2 all people have their own ideas and philosophy your young so you might think otherwise later oy you might not you are going though the stage of identity that all people go through. reason 3 try to adapt to school these might be the best years of your life. try some activities you might like them. talk to your parents about how you feel and be honest to them they might undertand if you told them calmly
