What do I do about my friend situation?

Ok so this is a little complicated. I had a group of friends that I liked, but we drifted apart. Now I'm friends with a group of kids I don't like. So I don't know what to do, I'm a junior and it seems like everyone has established a clique. I've tried to be friends with that old group, but I can't stand one kid who is a jerk and he is always around so idt that can happen. Idk what to do, should I just stick it out until college? And is it normal to be dreading prom, cause I have no idea who I'll ask, is that normal?
